Great news, music lovers: Spotify now has a fun new feature you can use to create a playlist just for your pet! The company recognizes the special bond between humans and their pets, and they decided to delve further into the topic of music as it relates to people and their pets. Spotify conducted a survey of pet parents and learned that 71% of survey respondents play music for their pets, and eight out of 10 pet parents believe their pets like music. Additionally, 69% of pet parents sing to their pets—are you part of that group?
Did you know 69% of pet owners sing to their pets? TBH, we’re not that surprised. These stats are barking good. 🐶 #SpotifyPets https://t.co/k2XmzrUlch

While you listen to music on your Bluetooth speaker at home, you may or may not intentionally select something you want your pet to enjoy, too. But now you can create a playlist with your pet’s name on it, with songs selected just for your four-legged friend.
To create your custom playlist, you’ll answer a few questions about your pet. Spotify’s custom pet playlist feature accommodates a number of different pet species—in addition to dog and cat, you can also select bird, hamster, or iguana. After completing a brief quiz about your pet’s personality traits, you’ll receive a curated playlist just for your pet.
