Pet Insurance U has named Healthy Paws the best pet insurance for 2016! We’re honored to be chosen by this independent group of expert veterinarians.

So how do they do it? Every year, their team of vets analyzes all sorts of data, including ratings and reviews from the Better Business Bureau, Yelp, and Consumer Reports in addition to several pet insurance review websites, to rate insurance providers on a fifty-point scale. For 2016, they chose Healthy Paws as the top provider based on best overall value, protection, and reliability; plus a special hat tip was given to our non-profit foundation that provides aid to rescue and adoption groups.

Pet Insurance U tapped into the customer base who rated Healthy Paws highest for the fourth year in a row, focusing on the fast claim approval process, high quality customer support, as well as a whopping 98% in customer satisfaction. Customer raves touched on our unlimited lifetime benefits, complete accident and illness coverage, and paperless mobile claim submission. Mostly, customers were psyched to have peace of mind knowing most ailments would be covered in the future, and covered well – everything from traditional veterinary emergency care to chiropractic care, acupuncture, and hydrotherapy. Our entire report card (“Healthy Paws is the ‘Cadillac’ of pet insurance plans”) can be found here.

The great thing about Pet Insurance U is that it’s a free, independent public resource where pet parents can learn everything they need about pet health care from real veterinarians. Those are experts working in the trenches, who know what works best, whether it be traditional care or the newest, cutting edge options. We strive to reach a high bar of excellence, so this reward is pretty sweet!
